Clear Acrylic Sheet -

Acrylic is an excellent choice for your shed windows. It is UV resistant so it will not discolour, easy to clean and maintain and stronger than glass and less than half the weight. Acrylic is a cost effective way of replacing your shed windows and is a much better option than using Glass.

Polycarbonate Shed Windows -

Polycarbonate is a high impact virtually unbreakable material. It is UV resistant so it will not go yellow and is easy to clean and maintain. Having polycarbonate shed windows is the best choice if there is a chance of people kicking footballs or other items potentially hitting your shed windows.

Frosted Acrylic Sheet -

Frosted acrylic is an excellent choice for your shed windows. It is UV resistant so it will not discolour. It is easy to clean and maintain and stronger than glass and less than half the weight. Frosted acrylic allows the light to come through but gives privacy so people cannot look in your shed and see what tools or goods you have in there.

Tinted Acrylic Sheet -

FAQs

My existing shed windows have gone yellow and look faded. Will your products go yellow?

No they will not. Most shed manufacturers use a plastic material called Styrene. It is very cheap and has no UV stability to it. All of Sheet Plastics’ products recommended above have UV stability meaning they will not go yellow.

Which material is unbreakable as the kids kick footballs near it?

Polycarbonate sheets are virtually unbreakable. It will not crack or shatter under impact. You could actually hit Polycarbonate with a hammer and it will not break.

What is the best thickness to use for replacement shed windows?

It depends on different factors. If you are on a budget 2mm will work and offer you what you need in terms of aesthetics and installation. Polycarbonate shed windows are a little more expensive than acrylic but 2mm Polycarbonate will be unbreakable and look good aesthetically.
